An excellent opportunity for an experienced Fire Protection Engineer (Brandschutzingenieur) to join a leading international design and engineering consultancy, working on high-profile mission-critical projects in Frankfurt and across Germany.
Location: Frankfurt, Germany
Salary: €60,000 – €90,000 (depending on experience)
Job Description
The Resolute Group is proud to be working in partnership with a top-tier engineering consultancy expanding its German operations. We are currently seeking a Fire Protection Engineer with demonstrable experience in building permit procedures to play a key role in the planning, coordination, and technical compliance of fire protection systems across a portfolio of large-scale infrastructure and industrial projects.
Key Responsibilities
* Develop and manage fire protection concepts in compliance with German building codes and project-specific requirements
* Prepare and oversee documentation for building permits (Bauantrag), including fire safety reports and compliance documents
* Coordinate fire protection planning with architectural, MEP, and structural teams throughout all HOAI service phases
* Provide technical input during risk assessments, safety concepts, and evacuation planning
* Participate in authority coordination and support the submission of approval documents (Genehmigungsplanung)
* Advise project managers and clients on regulatory issues, changes in standards, and technical innovations
* Attend site inspections and construction meetings to ensure implementation of fire safety measures as designed
* Liaise with local authorities (e.g., Bauamt, Brandschutzdienststellen) to address comments and ensure permit approval
Requirements
* Degree in Fire Protection Engineering, Safety Engineering, Architecture, or related field
* Minimum 3–5 years of professional experience in fire protection design and planning
* Proven experience in approval procedures and building permit planning
* Familiarity with German fire safety codes
* Experience working on large-scale projects such as data centres, hospitals, or commercial buildings is advantageous
* Proficient in AutoCAD and/or fire protection planning tools
* Fluent German (minimum B2 required); English an advantage
