About the Role We’re seeking a talented Senior Mechanical Engineer to join our Berlin office during an exciting phase of expansion. You’ll collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of engineers and technicians on a broad portfolio of projects—from commercial developments and residential schemes to cultural and healthcare facilities. You’ll lead mechanical services design, mentor junior team members, and help shape the future of IN2 in Berlin. This role offers a real opportunity for career progression with a pathway toward Associate Director level and beyond. Key Responsibilities Lead the design and delivery of mechanical building services including HVAC, water services, and public health systems Oversee project stages from concept to handover, ensuring quality and performance at every phase Work across a variety of sectors, bringing best-practice solutions to every brief Build strong relationships with clients, presenting ideas confidently and clearly Support and mentor junior engineers, fostering technical excellence and growth Drive innovation and sustainability in all engineering output Play a proactive role in developing IN2 Berlin as a key part of our European operation What We’re Looking For Degree in Mechanical or Building Services Engineering (or equivalent) Minimum 5 years’ experience in mechanical design, ideally within a consultancy environment Strong technical knowledge of HVAC, water services, and building systems design Familiarity with German codes and standards is an advantage Experience working across various sectors and building types Excellent communication skills with a client-focused mindset Demonstrated leadership and mentoring abilities Chartered Engineer status or working towards it Our Culture We pride ourselves on having a welcoming, inclusive, and social team culture.
