Lead DevOps Engineer (d/f/m) role at 4flow. 4flow software develops a range of global standard software products for logistics and transportation planning that can be applied across all industries. The integrated planning approach of our software products ranges from the long-term optimization of network structures to the short-term optimization of transportation capacity utilization. In addition, planning results can be combined with transportation processing and accounting for integrated transportation management. As part of our continuous growth, we’re looking for a visionary and hands-on Lead DevOps Engineer (d/f/m) to join our international team and help shape the future of our development processes.
What Your New Challenge Will Look Like
As Lead DevOps Engineer (d/f/m), you will play a key role in facilitating reliable, scalable and secure software delivery across our global organization. Your tasks will include:
* Enabling the successful delivery of software projects on time
* Leading the design and implementation of enterprise-grade CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure automation
* Architecting, orchestrating and managing containerized environments
* Overseeing cloud infrastructure across AWS, Azure, and GCP, supporting multi-cloud strategies
* Defining and enforcing best practices in configuration management and system monitoring
* Leading incident response, root cause analysis and preventive action planning
* Collaborating with engineering, security and product teams to align infrastructure with business goals
* Mentoring junior engineers and promoting a culture of reliability and continuous improvement
* Working with our global intercultural team across different time zones
Why you belong at 4flow
You are a strategic thinker with a proactive mindset and a passion for building resilient systems. You bring:
* 7 years or more of experience in DevOps, site reliability engineering or a related field
* A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology or a related technical field of studies
* Deep expertise in Linux, CI/CD tools, containerized environments and cloud platforms
* A strong background in configuration management, automation and infrastructure-as-code
* Excellent problem-solving, communication and leadership skills
* Ideally, knowledge of security, compliance, frontend (e.g., React, Vue.js), backend (e.g., Python, Java, Spring Boot) and AI/ML integration
* Proficiency in English; German and other languages are a plus
* Strong mentoring and team development capabilities as well as the ability to work independently and collaboratively within cross-functional teams
