We are continuing to expand our team and are looking to fill the position of Rocket Engine Design Engineer CAD & Mechanical Design (m/f/d).
Your mission
* Maintain and manage the master CAD model of the rocket engine, including configuration control and subsystem integration
* Design engine components and produce detailed technical drawings
* Perform thermo-mechanical simulations (thermal/structural FE analyses) and iterate designs based on results
* Ensure manufacturability, tolerance accuracy, and material suitability
* Coordinate with analysis, test, and integration teams to incorporate design updates
* Communicate with suppliers regarding manufacturability, materials, design requirements and review supplier drawings
* Maintain BOMs and support procurement and assembly
* Document design changes through the engineering change process
Your profile
* Degree in Space Engineering, Aerospace Engineering (M.Sc.) or similar
* Minimum of 2 years of full-time experience
* Advanced skills in CAD modelling
* Profound understanding of the rocket engine design process and its subsystems
* Profound understanding of physics, fluid dynamics, manufacturing processes, rocket engine/propulsion systems
* Profound understanding of manufacturing methods of rocket engine components
* Proactive thinking, high level of motivation, flexibility, and team-working skills
* Proficiency in both German and English
* Knowledge of Creo is an advantage
* Experience with Windchill is an advantage
* Experience with qualification/certification
* Work experience in a start-up environment
