AEW Invest GmbH is a BaFin regulated entity with offices in Düsseldorf, Frankfurt and Munich and manages around € 8bn of assets across Europe via real estate special AIFs and separate accounts on behalf of its clients.
YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
The Analyst Fund Management (f/m/d) will become an integral part of the fund management team and support the day-to-day management of several real estate funds focussing on a variety of sectors (office, retail, logistics, residential). The Analyst (f/m/d) will have the opportunity of starting its career in the institutional funds’ business by working on every step of the real estate life cycle and taking responsibility in a fast-growing environment. The key activities include:
* You will support the senior management in strategic matters and the day-to-day fund management of our funds
* You will support the fund analysis and planning process through preparation and validation of annual business plans and monthly forecasts as well as the comparison with actual figures to assess the performance of our funds
* You will collaborate in Europe-wide property transactions, in particular through cash flow analyses and preparation of presentations for internal and external committees
* You will prepare internal and external reporting as well as investor meetings with the opportunity of situational participation
* You work with regular communication and close cooperation with all functions at AEW (e.g. Investment & Asset Management, Fund Operations, Investor Relations, Sustainability) as well as external service providers
* You will support in addressing compliance, regulatory, legal and tax requirements as well as performing analyses for risk management
YOUR COMPETENCIES
* Graduated from Business school or University in business administration, economics, finance, real estate or a similar field of study
* Good knowledge of (real estate or financial) investment and portfolio management as well as a good understanding of economic and financial interrelationships; ideally have gained practical experience in a fund or asset management company, financial institute or advisory firm
* Excellent knowledge of all common Microsoft 365 applications (especially Excel and PowerPoint) and proven experience in cashflow modelling
* Language skills: German, English, French is a plus
* You are self-motivated with strong analytical and communicational skills combined with goal-oriented working methods and a strong sense of team spirit; proven intercultural experience is a plus
