Our client is a licensed e-money institution at the heart of a growing European fintech group. Their focus is on acquiring and payments innovation across Europe, combining the agility of a tech company with the responsibility of a regulated financial institution.
As part of the Risk Operations team, you’ll play a key role in managing day-to-day risk across our issuing and acquiring activities. This role sits at the intersection of compliance, operations, and product — perfect for someone who wants to grow in a dynamic fintech environment.
You’ll support the underwriting, fraud prevention, and dispute management processes that help keep our payments ecosystem safe and efficient. You’ll also have the opportunity to contribute to US underwriting projects, gaining exposure to cross-market operations.
What You’ll Do
Review merchant and partner business models to assess risk exposure
Perform enhanced due diligence (EDD) and risk underwriting
Provide 2nd-level support for onboarding and KYC teams
Manage dispute and chargeback cases (issuing and acquiring)
Contribute to fraud monitoring and prevention activities
Execute transaction monitoring and escalation processes
Support the rollout of US risk and underwriting initiatives
Help ensure AML and regulatory compliance within the EU framework
What You Bring
A degree or relevant professional qualification
2–4 years’ experience in customer underwriting, fraud prevention, or dispute handling within financial services or fintech
Working knowledge of risk management and AML requirements for regulated institutions
Strong analytical mindset and attention to detail
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Fluency in German and English
