We have an exciting opportunity for an Electronics Technician Maintenance III to join the ever-growing Phoenix Defense Germany GmbH team. This position provides technical support for the Home Station Instrumentation Training System (HITS) training devices under Warfighter-Training Readiness Solutions Program (W-TRS). This position is contingent upon contract award. WHAT YOU WILL DO: Primary responsibility for troubleshooting, repairing, testing, packing, and shipping the HITS components and sub-components. Repair components and sub-components to blueprint, manuals and customer specifications using hand tools, power tools and grinders. Apply basic and advanced technical knowledge to solve routine problems by interpreting military specifications, manufacturer’s manuals, or similar technical documents to perform training system PMCS, troubleshooting and fault isolation. Installs parts or repair parts using screws and hand tools. Perform installation and operations for users/operators using Government documents to understand the functional and operational capabilities of the HITS systems. Must be able to use a Management Information System (MIS) to record all maintenance and inventory actions. Work closely with Instructors during training execution to resolve software/hardware issues in a timely manner so they do not detract from the training experience. Assist in maintaining other training devices during manpower shortages and training surges. ABOUT YOU: Experience with the HITS devices preferred Two to four-year (2-4) degree in a Technical Field preferred Five to Seven years (5-7) experience with electronics testing/troubleshooting Basic computer skills minimum of four years (4) experience Must have a valid driver’s license and On-Post driving privileges Must be able to wear appropriate personal protective equipment Must be willing to work any shift or day of the week as required Must be able to travel as required Excellent written and oral communications skills, attention to detail, strong organizational skills, computer proficiency, and the ability to work under deadlines in a fast-paced environment Knowledge of course development and education methodology for working with adult learners in a military environment Strong analytical, problem-solving, customer service and decision-making skills Proficiency in MS Office applications (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Excel) Must be a U.S. citizen Must be able to support various locations for various lengths of training support POSITION CONTEXT/PHYSICAL DEMANDS: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
