Field Systems: The Trimble Field Systems segment provides solutions to increase precision and productivity in construction tasks by empowering stakeholders to collect accurate information and manage conditions with cutting-edge technology.
What Makes This Role Great:
In this role, you will be at the forefront of developing world-leading geodetic instruments, directly influencing the accuracy of global construction and geospatial projects. You will transition designs across the entire product lifecycle, owning the evolution of robotic total stations and terrestrial laser scanners from initial concept to high-precision reality.
Key Exciting Responsibilities
1. Spearhead the development of sophisticated mechanical-optical designs for industry-leading robotic total stations and laser scanners.
2. Integrate advanced AI methodologies across all phases of product development to optimize performance and innovation.
3. Lead the conception and execution of critical principle tests and complex tolerance calculations to ensure sub-millimeter precision.
4. Transform concepts into reality by producing high-fidelity components using 3D printing and conducting rigorous initial sample inspections.
5. Drive project success by selecting specialized components and managing complex assemblies within the Agile bill of materials system.
Essential Skills & Experience
6. You are fluent in both German and English, with the ability to collaborate effectively in a multinational environment.
7. You hold a degree in Mechatronics, Mechanical Engineering, or Precision Engineering.
8. You possess expert-level proficiency in CAD software, specifically CREO 10 and CREO Simulate.
9. You have a proven track record in the design of mechanical and optical assemblies for high-precision instruments.
10. Experience in failure analysis and quality department support.
11. Specialized knowledge in 3D printing materials for industrial prototyping.
12. Previous experience with "Agile" PLM software.
