Location: Dusseldorf, North Rhine-Westphalia Or Koln
About the Role:
We are looking for a highly skilled Head of Project Management to join our growing team in the renewable energy industry. This is an operational role where you will oversee a team of 15-20 Project Managers, ensuring the smooth delivery of large-scale projects. The projects primarily focus on Photovoltaics (PV) and E-Mobility, typically averaging 1 Megawatt per project. You will have a strong understanding of each project and will be at the heart of ensuring that our operations are running efficiently.
You’ll work closely with the management board, reporting directly to them on a regular basis, making sure that our clients – primarily from Germany – are satisfied and their projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest standards. Your leadership will be key to growing the team as the company expands, and you’ll have the opportunity to influence the direction of the business.
Key Responsibilities:
* Supervise a team of 15-20 Project Managers working on commercial-scale PV and e-mobility projects.
* Oversee day-to-day operations and ensure all projects are progressing as planned.
* Ensure effective communication and relationship-building with international clients, particularly German clients.
* Collaborate with the management board to implement strategic goals and drive business growth.
* Manage client relationships, ensuring that expectations are met and projects are delivered to the highest standards.
* Work in a supportive, non-micromanaging environment that encourages professional growth.
Ideal Candidate:
* Experience: Solid background in the renewables industry, with a preference for those with experience in Photovoltaics (PV), particularly on the AC side.
* Technical Knowledge: While operational in focus, a solid understanding of the technical aspects of PV and e-mobility projects will be critical to success.
* Language Skills: Fluency in German (native or near-native level) is essential for effective communication with German clients and stakeholders.
* Team Leadership: You should have experience managing diverse teams and be passionate about nurturing talent, as well as creating an environment that fosters growth and development.
* Client Focus: Strong ability to manage and develop relationships with international clients, while understanding their specific needs, particularly in a commercial scale energy environment.
Why This is a Great Opportunity:
* Company Growth: This is an exciting time to join a company that has gone from strength to strength since its foundation almost a decade ago. There is great potential for personal and professional growth, with lots of space for you to make an impact and help shape the future of the company.
* Amazing Culture: Join a team with a diverse mix of highly experienced professionals and young talent. It’s a dynamic and inclusive environment where you will be given the freedom to develop and lead without micromanagement.
* Work Hard, Play Hard: The company has a fantastic work culture with regular team-building activities like skiing trips and sun holidays twice annually. They organize a major kick-off event each year in January, creating an opportunity for fun, bonding, and collaboration.
* Management Board Opportunity: If you demonstrate the right leadership and initiative, there is an opportunity to become a member of the management board as the company grows.
* Location & Flexibility: The office is based in Dusseldorf, with a 5-day-per-week on-site presence.
Interview Process:
We operate a 2-stage interview process, ensuring we find the perfect fit for this exciting role.
If you're ready to lead a passionate team and make a significant impact in the renewable energy industry, we’d love to hear from you.
