Job Description
What to expect in this role:
* Lead and develop a team of 4 engineers for Dry Gas Seal Support System (GSS) pre- and post-order engineering
* Serve as GSS subject matter expert and ensure overall engineering KPIs, focusing on on-time delivery and quality metrics
* Plan projects and allocate resources using DOSE, MS Project, and the global I-Project tool; support migration to new project-management software
* Provide accurate man-hour estimates and promise dates, ensuring timely submission of all engineering deliverables and technical clarifications
* Collaborate with internal stakeholders and supply chain to meet service levels, identify vendors, and align critical components
* Learn and apply Hysys for project execution
* Train and mentor the engineering team, fostering best practices and continuous process improvements
Qualifications
What you should bring to the role:
* Master’s degree in Mechanical, Chemical, or related engineering discipline
* Several years of engineering experience and at least 2 years in a team-lead role
* Strong background in process engineering and seal systems across industries such as polymer, pharmaceutical, fertilizer, refinery, and turbomachinery
* Solid understanding of mechanical seal business, engineering design and operations, and key industry practices to drive growth and innovation
* Experience with specification review, P&ID preparation, bill of material preparation, technical alignment, and review of 3D & 2D GADs and fabrication drawings
* Excellent leadership, communication, and multitasking skills with fluency in both German and English
* Good team player
