An international infrastructure company is seeking a Junior Project Controls Engineer to join its team in Germany. The role is based in Brustbüttel, a small town near Hamburg, and will support the delivery of complex engineering and construction projects in the region.
Responsibilities:
1. Assist in developing and maintaining project schedules, cost tracking systems, and performance metrics.
2. Support project teams with data analysis, reporting, and forecasting.
3. Monitor project progress and identify variances against baseline plans.
4. Collaborate with engineering, procurement, and construction teams to ensure accurate project controls.
5. Contribute to risk analysis and mitigation planning.
6. Prepare regular project status reports for internal and external stakeholders.
Requirements:
7. Degree in Engineering, Project Management, or a related technical field.
8. Some experience or academic exposure to project controls, planning, or cost engineering is preferred.
9. Strong analytical and communication skills.
10. Proficiency in Excel; familiarity with project controls software (e.g., Primavera, MS Project) is a plus.
11. English fluency required; German language skills are a bonus but not essential.
12. Willingness to be based in Brustbüttel or commute regularly.
