Your Tasks
1. Analysing the system requirements of customers, stakeholders, regulations and standards.
2. Development of a system architecture for space applications that integrates electrical, electronic, software and mechanical systems.
3. Derivation of the system design and definition of the interfaces.
4. Technical leadership in proposal preparation, preparation of feasibility and system performance analyses
5. Identification of system costs with focus on design-to-cost, OTD, OTC, OTQ.
6. Creation of system specifications and concepts for system design
7. Responsibility for development plans at system level
8. Creation of technical risk assessments
9. Coordination of life cycle management and control of development partners including technical subcontracting management.
10. Coordination of the development activities of various specialist departments and technical management of the project team.
11. Continuous coordination with customers, suppliers, production, purchasing, project management and stakeholders.
12. Technical monitoring of budgets, schedules and resources
13. Coordination of the cross-functional creation of technical documentation.
14. Coordination within the core project team (project management, production, quality) and leading design reviews ( CDR, TRR, IRR)
Your Qualifications
15. Completed studies in aerospace engineering or comparable qualification
16. At least 10 years of professional experience in the design of space systems and in leading interdisciplinary teams
17. Several years of experience in technical subcontractor management as well as in MBSE methods ( SysML Capella) and system engineering standards ( ECSS). ECSS, INCOSE)
18. Good organisational skills, solution-oriented agile working
19. Good ability to assess technical, economic and scheduling issues
20. Strong teamwork and communication skills
21. Very good written and spoken English
22. Desirable: Knowledge of Siemens Teamcenter, CAD, SAP
