For our partner company in the IT services sector based in Essen, we are looking for a Head of Group Accounting (m/f/d) (m/f/d) as part of a direct placement (permanent position with our client).
In this responsible position, you will be responsible for the technical and disciplinary management of the team and proactively shape the group-wide accounting guidelines. You will manage consolidation in accordance with IFRS and HGB and be responsible for challenging topics such as purchase price allocations and impairment tests. As the central point of contact for auditors, you will ensure smooth closing processes and also contribute your expertise to overarching financial projects.

Your tasks
8. Professional and disciplinary management of the Group Accounting team including targeted personnel development
9. Responsibility for the timely preparation and consolidation of monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements in accordance with IFRS and HGB
10. Carrying out purchase price allocations (PPA) and impairment tests as well as analyzing acquisition effects
11. Accounting valuation of complex business transactions and further development of Group-wide accounting guidelines
12. Independent coordination of financial statement audits as the main contact person for auditors
13. Support with tax issues and active participation in overarching financial projects
Your profile
14. Several years of professional experience in group accounting, consolidation or auditing
15. Knowledge of accounting in accordance with IFRS and HGB
16. Specific expertise in accounting for acquisitions (PPA) and impairment tests in accordance with IFRS 3 and IAS 36
17. Confident handling of common ERP systems and consolidation tools such as SAP and LucaNet
18. Strong analytical skills paired with a high affinity for numbers and attention to detail
19. Strong communication skills with a structured, solution-oriented approach and team spirit
