Senior Risk Scientist
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Risk Scientist to join our team in conducting health-based risk assessments and developing methodologies for chemical risk evaluation.
* Key responsibilities include leading projects on derivation of health-based indoor air guideline values, developing suitable methodologies for the derivation of indoor air guideline values, and deriving health-based human biomonitoring guidance values based on toxicological and/or epidemiological data.
* The successful candidate will also conduct human health risk assessments using advanced human health exposure and risk assessment models, particularly mixture risk assessment with the Monte Carlo Risk Assessment platform (MCRA).
This role requires a strong understanding of regulatory and technical requirements for conducting risk assessments under specific regulatory programs, experience in chemical risk and exposure assessment based on monitoring data including human biomonitoring, and proven track record in project management and collaboration in international consortia.
The ideal candidate will have excellent organizational and analytical skills, strong team working, networking and communication skills, result-oriented mindset, and ability to generate necessary information from the working context to report to upper management levels and supporting services.
Job Responsibilities:
* Derivation of health-based indoor air guideline values within the PARC program.
* Development of a suitable methodology for the derivation of indoor air guideline values.
* Derivation of health-based human biomonitoring guidance values based on toxicological and/or epidemiological data.
* Conducting human health risk assessments based human biomonitoring data and indoor exposure data.
* Use of advanced human health exposure and risk assessment models, particularly mixture risk assessment with the Monte Carlo Risk Assessment platform (MCRA).
Requirements:
* PhD degree in a relevant field such as environmental science, toxicology, or epidemiology.
* Strong understanding of regulatory and technical requirements for conducting risk assessments under specific regulatory programs.
* Experience in chemical risk and exposure assessment based on monitoring data including human biomonitoring.
* Proven track record in project management and collaboration in international consortia.
