What You’ll Do:
As a Backend Developer, you'll be the wizard behind the curtain, developing, deploying, and maintaining software solutions that keep our platform running smoothly (no magic wands required). You’ll collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and deliver features that actually make a difference (and possibly spark some high-fives). Your responsibilities will include :
1. Architecture & Development
Building and optimizing robust backend services in Java, integrating seamlessly with Kafka, and deploying to a Kubernetes cluster.
Working with relational databases; PostgreSQL is a plus, but similar RDBMS experience is also valued.
Ensuring scalability and reliability across containerized software solutions.
2. Collaboration & Process
Participating in code reviews and contributing to high standards of software quality.
Engaging with stakeholders to understand requirements and align on deliverables.
Supporting continuous improvement of team practices, including testing, quality assurance, and documentation.
3. Problem Solving & Ownership
Troubleshooting and resolving system issues efficiently.
Taking ownership of features from conception to deployment with attention to detail and performance.

What We’re Looking For:
We’re seeking a candidate with a balance of technical and collaborative skills who thrives in a remote environment.
Must-Have Skills:
7. Proficiency in Java development.
8. Hands-on experience with relational databases (PostgreSQL preferred).
9. Experience with Kafka
10. Experience with containerized software.
11. Basic knowledge of Kubernetes and its role in managing deployments.
12. Experience with cloud-based microservices.
13. Familiarity with Agile methodologies or DevOps practices.
14. A proactive, solutions-oriented approach to problem-solving.
15. Strong English communication skills (advanced to fluent).
Nice-to-Have Skills:
16. Angular experience (magic wands accepted)
