Are you passionate about vehicle dynamics and eager to shape the driving experience of future vehicles? We are now looking for a Vehicle Dynamics Development Engineer to join our German team and play a key role in developing world-class dynamics performance for Geely, Lynk & Co, and Zeekr vehicles. This role is based in Frankfurt, Germany, with employment under LTIC (Lotus Tech Innovation Centre).
What You'll Do
* Develop and tune vehicle dynamics performance across systems such as brakes, tires, suspension, steering, and chassis control
* Perform both objective analysis and subjective evaluation of overall driving behavior
* Calibrate vehicle dynamics functions and parameters (e.g. slip control, steering, suspension, brakes) to meet target attributes
* Optimize actuator interaction and contribute to vehicle dynamics control strategies
* Define vehicle dynamics targets considering market-specific requirements and ensure legal and internal compliance
* Plan and execute tuning and validation activities together with global teams, primarily in Europe and China
* Drive issue resolution and report development status to stakeholders
* Contribute to technology evaluations and future innovation roadmaps
Who You Are:
* You hold a degree in Automotive Engineering or a related field
* You have at least 5 years of experience within vehicle dynamics development or tuning in the automotive industry (OEM or Tier 1)
* You bring strong hands-on experience in calibration, tuning, and subjective vehicle evaluation
* You are a confident driver with the ability to safely and consistently perform limit-handling manoeuvres
* You have experience with relevant tools such as Vector toolchain, INCA, and Microsoft Office
* You are fluent in English; German or Chinese is considered a plus
* You are collaborative, hands-on, and take strong ownership in driving topics to resolution
* You are open to regular travel within Europe, China, and other locations
