YOUR ROLE
As our Sous Chef Event Operations you are helping to oversee the food preparation of all banquet and catering events while ensuring superior quality and consistency at all times, in accordance with the hotel’s standards and financial goals. You assist in d eveloping new menus, prepare, test and taste new menu items in collaboration with the Executive Sous Chef for events and the main kitchen.

HOW YOU’LL MAKE THE PLACE
* Support for the responsible Executive Sous Chef in leading the team in the main kitchen (Events, Wintergarten and In-Room Dining)
* Active participation in kitchen operations and supporting the team according to the Head Chef’s instructions
* Ensuring and monitoring the high quality standards of all dishes in close coordination with the Head Chef
* Collaboration with the service team to ensure an excellent guest experience together with the Head Chef
* Assisting in creating staff schedules and ensuring smooth operations during the Head Chef’s absence
* Monitoring compliance with hygiene standards and supporting the implementation of regular training sessions
* Assisting with budget planning and cost control in cooperation with the Head Chef for the main kitchen
* Review banquet event orders (BEO) on a daily basis and make note of any changes.
* Brief the events culinary team daily about the upcoming and current functions.
COULD THIS BE YOU?
* Completed vocational training and minimum two years in a similar position in a luxury or ultra-luxury hotel or restaurant.
* Hands-on mentality and goal-oriented approach to working.
* A strong sense for quality, affinity for luxury.
* Good understanding of numbers and strong business acumen.
* Proficiency in english and german.
* AEVO-certificate is beneficial.
