YOUR ROLE
As our Executive Sous Chef you are overseeing the food preparation of all banquet and catering events while ensuring superior quality and consistency at all times, in accordance with the hotel’s standards and financial goals. You d evelop new menus, prepare, test and taste new menu items in collaboration with the Executive Chef for events and the main kitchen.
HOW YOU’LL MAKE THE PLACE
* Work closely with other leaders in a supportive and flexible manner, focusing on the overall success of the hotel and the satisfaction of hotel guests.
* Ensure that events culinary team works in a supportive and flexible manner with other departments.
* Review banquet event orders (BEO) on a daily basis and make note of any changes.
* Brief the events culinary team daily about the upcoming and current functions.
* Work with the Executive Chef and the Director of Purchasing in the procurement of the best product for the best price.
* Conduct regular communications meetings and ensure that departmental briefings and meetings are effective and conducted as necessary.
Could this be you?
* Completed vocational training and minimum two years in a similar position in a luxury or ultra-luxury hotel or restaurant.
* Hands-on mentality and goal-oriented approach to working.
* A strong sense for quality, affinity for luxury.
* Good understanding of numbers and strong business acumen.
* Proficiency in english and german.
* AEVO-certificate is beneficial.
