The lab of Sven Bogdan at the Institute of Physiology and Pathophysiology, Dept. Molecular Cell Physiology is looking for a PhD student to work on Dissecting epithelial-immune cell interactions in Drosophila wounding You will apply experimental strategies of Drosophila genetics with modern methods of biochemistry, cell biology and high-resolution imaging techniques (SDM, SIM, CLSM, light-sheet microscopy) to decipher conserved mechanisms of the interplay between epithelial cells and infiltrating immune cells. We are looking for highly motivated scientists to join our research team to study the innate immune response and epidermal wound healing in the genetic model organism Drosophila. The position is available for 3 years.
