This role combines solution design, implementation, and leadership responsibilities to ensure high-quality delivery in a dynamic, fast-changing environment.You will work with a stack including Composer, Dataform, BigQuery, and Looker, helping to modernize data solutions, streamline processes, and drive transparency with stakeholders.ResponsibilitiesSolution Design & ModernizationProactively propose and design solutions following data engineering best practices.Modernize ad-hoc data movement solutions (e.g., scheduled Python scripts moving data between sources).Reverse-engineer MS Excel–based reports and rebuild them into scalable, modern data pipelines and dashboards.Stakeholder Management & CommunicationCollaborate with SMEs, technical, and business stakeholders to gather requirements, validate designs, and set clear expectations.Manage stakeholder relationships and ensure alignment despite challenges with incomplete information or unexpected requests.Communicate progress with maximum transparency—even if it means answering the same questions repeatedly.Leadership & Delivery ManagementOrganize and lead timelines, team activities, and delivery milestones.Incorporate feedback and new ideas into plans while balancing priorities.Keep the team focused and motivated in a fast-paced environment.Hands-On Implementation & ReviewActively contribute to coding, pipeline building, and data modeling.Review teammates’ work to ensure code quality and adherence to best practices.RequirementsStrong experience with Composer, Dataform, BigQuery, and Looker.Solid background in data engineering, pipeline design, and reporting modernization.Proven ability to lead projects, manage timelines, and coordinate team activities.Excellent communication skills—able to explain complex topics clearly to non-technical stakeholders.Comfortable working in environments with changing requirements and limited initial clarity.A balance of hands-on technical expertise and delivery/stakeholder management skills.About AdevaAdeva is an exclusive network of engineers, product and data professionals that connects consultants with leading enterprise organizations and startups.
