Role Description: Support the profitable growth of the (G)BA by leading and winning Arcadis' most strategic, multidisciplinary, and complex pursuits. Drive the end-to-end pursuit process with a relentless focus on client-centricity, seamless delivery, and strategic differentiation, ensuring Arcadis wins work that is aligned with our growth priorities and values. The Pursuits Leader reports to the GBA Pursuits Director. Role Responsibilities: Lead Europe-wide Pursuits Pursuit Leadership: Lead cross-GBA, multi-country pursuits through The Arcadis Way Pursuit to Win (PtW) framework. Develop and manage pursuit strategy, team selection, value proposition, pricing strategy, and commercial risk approach. Own and drive M.O.R.E. sessions, Win Rooms, and executive alignment checkpoints for high-value pursuits. Client Engagement & Experience: Serve as a senior pursuit interface with clients, ensuring early engagement, alignment with client goals, and a seamless experience throughout the pursuit. Conduct post-selection debriefs with clients and incorporate insights into future strategies. Strategic Differentiation: Integrate sustainability, digital solutions, and innovative delivery models into pursuit strategies. Challenge the status quo and lead the development of future-ready project delivery and commercial models that differentiate Arcadis. Internal Coordination & Enablement: Collaborate with Growth, Commercial Enablement, Legal, Risk, Finance, and Delivery to ensure a compliant and compelling proposal. Work closely with Account Leaders, Solution Leads, and Market Sector Leaders to shape pursuits from Market to Opportunity through Pursuit to Win stages. Maintain full compliance with OSC and Collaboration Hub tools, documentation, and approvals. Continuous Improvement: Capture and share lessons learned from each pursuit and actively contribute to the Pursuit Community of Practice. Mentor and coach junior pursuit team members and proposal writers. People Coach and mentor pursuit team members across the business. Ensure the development and implementation of training initiatives for Pursuit teams. Key Shared Responsibilities: Work with BA / Europe Pursuit Directors & G(BA) Sales Directors to shape & run cross-G(BA) pursuits approach. Work with GAM and GBA Solutions and local Solution Leaders to identify targeted pursuits. Work with BA sales leadership, BA Directors, and People to build and develop the pursuit community. Work together with sector teams, account teams,and Solution Directors to jointly win their strategic pursuits. Work with MarComms to ensure new wins can be publicized externally. Qualifications and Experience: The candidate should have a bachelor's or master's degree and at least 10 years of experience in market to opportunity, pursuit to win, and account and client management within a multinational engineering or professional services firm. The candidate should have a proven track record of successfully running sales, pursuits, and change programs. Key Qualifications & Experience: Extensive experience leading large, complex, multidisciplinary pursuits in infrastructure or related markets. Strong commercial acumen and understanding of risk, compliance, and financial modeling. Demonstrated success in leading international and cross-functional pursuit teams. Ability to engage with executive-level stakeholders internally and externally. Fluent in English; proficiency in German highly preferred. Ambitious mindset and a strong drive to grow the business and meet targets. Strong focus on our clients and their journey with us in the MtO and PtW phase. Ability to lay out processes and to ensure process discipline whilst having the agility to change processes that are not supporting an increased strike rate in global pursuits. Entrepreneurial attitude and strategic focus with strong commercial drive and decisiveness. Understanding of commercial strategies (margin, profitability, profitability with each individual country, etc.) and the ability to coordinate with finance and legal (currency exchange, etc.).
