For our local entity in Puttgarden, we are recruiting a People & Culture Generalist on a full-time or part-time basis (min. 75%).
Your new job includes
We are currently in the process of establishing a new team in Puttgarden to operate our future retail business on ferry routes as well as in border shops once the required regulatory approval has been granted.
In the position of People & Culture Generalist (m/f/d), you will be based on site in Puttgarden and report to the Head of People & Culture.
As the central People & Culture contact on site, you will work closely with the Head of People & Culture to ensure a professional, compliant, and service‑oriented HR operation. In addition, you will coordinate key external service providers, drive local setup and scaling activities, and actively shape culture and change processes in close collaboration with works councils and key stakeholders.
In particular, you will
* independently manage operational HR processes across the entire employee lifecycle (recruiting, onboarding, personnel development, offboarding, including contract and document management) and make operational HR decisions within internal guidelines (e.g. recruiting channels, training providers, local process design)
* act as the central point of contact for employees in all HR‑related matters
work closely, constructively, and in a spirit of trust with the works council
* ensure and coordinate the implementation of internal policies (including occupational health and safety, health management, and data protection)
* manage local HR projects as well as HR system implementations
* plan and manage training and development measures (including LMS maintenance) and be responsible for the allocated HR budget and external service providers in line with approval guidelines
Preferred Profile
* Completed commercial training with additional HR qualification (e.g. certified HR specialist) or a comparable qualification
* Several years of experience as an HR generalist in Germany with solid knowledge of labor law and co‑determination
* Experience in recruiting coordination, employer branding, employee engagement, and health and reintegration management; a trainer qualification certificate (AEVO) is desirable
* Confident advisory skills when working with employees and managers, combined with a strong service and solution‑oriented mindset
* Experience with SAP SuccessFactors and MS Office, as well as desirable experience in implementing digital HR tools
* Very good German and English skills; Danish language skills are a plus
* Willingness to travel occasionally to work closely with HQ
