The Role Deployment and development of the Mission Systems technology management program in the EMEA and APAC regions under the direction of the Associate Director for Technology Management. This role will serve as the lead for our Jurisdiction & Classification (JC) and a Harmonized Tariff Schedule (HS) activities supporting our facilities located in the UK, Germany, Australia, France, Taiwan, South Korea, and Japan. The position requires both a high-level understanding of the products and an intimate knowledge of the regulations surrounding their export and import, including U.S regulations as they may apply. The key responsibilities and attributes for this position are: • Provide JC and HS support and training to the relevant teams on the various regional regulations that may apply to our locations in the UK, Germany, Australia, France, Taiwan, South Korea, and Japan • Provide local support and understanding of the US extra-territorial controls within the following U.S. Regulations; Export Administration Regulation (EAR) and International Traffic in Arms Regulation (ITAR) • Perform sophisticated JC analysis and validation (resolution of JC escalation, supplier issues, etc.) • Perform HS classifications • Support investigations and reviews of possible GT escapes and disclosures • Support development and delivery of formal and informal J/C and HS Focal training Experience/ Qualifications: • Bachelor’s degree and 6 years of prior relevant experience OR • Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 4 years experience OR • In absence of a degree, 11 years of relevant experience is required • BS/MS Engineering or Business Administration • Engineering and/or technical background • Aerospace (program/technical) experience • Experience with classifications under the World Customs Organization (WCO) HS • Experience with EMEA regional and national regulations on classification • Experience with US Export Regulations; specifically the EAR and the Commerce Control List (CCL), ITAR and the United States Munitions List (USML) • 1 to 2 years working with GT and related export/HS classification matters • Business level German required Be part of the Collins Heidelberg Team: Join our multicultural team and work with people from different countries Flexible working times 30 days of vacation Industry-specific pay Company sponsored pension plan Corporate health management Internal and external training opportunities to promote the continuous learning and development of our employees Global career opportunities at over 300 sites worldwide RTX adheres to the principles of equal employment.
