We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Quantity Surveyor to join our specialist team delivering high-value data center projects in Frankfurt. You will play a critical role in the commercial management of large-scale mechanical packages, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest standards. This is an excellent opportunity to work on mission-critical infrastructure with a leading M&E contractor in one of Europe’s fastest-growing data center hubs.
Key Responsibilities
* Manage all commercial aspects of mechanical packages (HVAC, piping, fire suppression, etc.) on large-scale data center projects.
* Prepare, submit, and manage accurate cost reporting, valuations, and final accounts.
* Assess subcontractor applications, variations, and change orders.
* Work closely with project managers, engineers, and procurement teams to ensure cost control and risk management.
* Support in procurement of subcontractors and materials, ensuring value for money and compliance with project specifications.
* Liaise with clients, consultants, and supply chain to ensure clear communication on financial matters.
* Provide monthly project cost reports, cash flow forecasts, and commercial risk analysis to senior management.
* Monitor project budgets, identify cost-saving opportunities, and manage financial risk.
* Ensure compliance with contractual obligations and company policies.
* Assist with contract administration, including preparation of contract documents and contract close-out.
Requirements
* Bachelor’s Degree in Quantity Surveying, Mechanical Engineering, or related discipline (or equivalent experience).
* 5+ years' experience as a Mechanical Quantity Surveyor, ideally within mission-critical, M&E, or large-scale commercial sectors.
* Previous data center, pharmaceutical, or hyperscale project experience is highly advantageous.
* Strong knowledge of mechanical systems (HVAC, pipework, etc.) and associated construction processes.
* Familiarity with FIDIC, NEC, or similar contract forms (advantageous).
* Excellent analytical, negotiation, and communication skills.
* Proficiency in cost management software and MS Office Suite.
* Ability to work on-site in Frankfurt (EU work permit or right to work in Germany preferred).
