HSSE Manager (m/w/d) - Solarpark Wilhelmshaven

We are currently looking for a HSSE Consultant (m/f/d) for a Solar park
Start: 18.08.2025
End: 28.02.2026 (+6 months extension option)
Volume: 16 hrs/week
Location: 10hrs/ week onsite Willhelmshaven - rest remote (depending on project schedule)
Setup:
* 2 days per week for onboarding, training, kick off meetings and reviewing construction plans with the EPC and the Client (this can be remote work initially in the main, but a small number of site or office visits may be necessary in Dusseldorf, Berlin or Wilhelmshaven).
* Then from October 2025 through to the end of February/March 2026, client requires at least 2 days per week on site, co-ordinating with the EPC and the Client Site Manager.
Description: Construction of an 18 MW solar park is planned to commence circa October 2025 with an EPC contractor selected and contracts agreed.
The aim of the project is to build an 18MW solar park on the landscaped ash piles from the former Wilhelmshaven power station and then connect to the electricity Network within the existing client site, with a planned completion date around March 2026.
Task s performed independently:
? Professional analysis of the EPC HSSE plans and Risk assessments with the aim to check whether they are suitable prior to start and aligned fully with permit, contractual requirements, and local legal regulations by taking into consideration information provided by the client in advance and own knowledge and experience.
? Throughout construction monitoring of compliance with the permit conditions, contractual agreements, and Legal regulations with the goal of detecting deviations based on own expertise and professional evaluation.
? Documentation of the results (deviations) and presentation to the EPC and Client's representative ("Site Manager" client) for decision making with regard to suitable measures. Record findings on the internal systems provided in advance.
? Accepting and processing of HSSE performance reporting on a weekly and monthly basis using internal systems based on own expertise. Monitoring of performance data and providing feedback to the client and EPC to detect the need for improvement to reach project HSSE goals.
? Professional consultation with the internal asset owner with the aim to facilitate compliance of the EPC with their site requirements and processes.
? Reviewing a monthly report from the EPC and processing the data into existing client systems, to present the current status of the project to management.
? Professional consultation of the r Renewables team through the client´s Construction and Asset Project management teams' representatives with the aim to reach the project objectives
Skills
* full understanding of the German and state HSSE legislation for construction topics and high voltage electrical construction work
* English and German Speaking
* working knowledge of the SIGEKO qualification.
* The ideal candidate shall have had prior experience of Solar construction as EPC or Clients representative or similar industries.
