Your Tasks:
1. You create a benchmark for the current global technical status of hybrid drives in the passenger car sector.
2. You will analyze the market environment for hybrid and electric drives with a focus on the key markets of China and the USA.
3. You derive technical requirements from future regulatory framework conditions and legal requirements.
4. You analyze the technological trends for electric drives and combustion engines.
5. You qualitatively compare the costs of current and future hybrid drive concepts.
6. You will derive target-oriented technical and cost-related measures for the market-oriented further development of hybrid drives.
7. As part of your thesis, you will deal with the topic of market and technology research.
Necessary Skills:
8. Ongoing studies in drive technology, automotive engineering, mechatronics, mechanical engineering or similar STEM engineering courses
9. Basic knowledge of the functioning and design of electric and combustion engines, power electronics and vehicle architectures.
10. Systematic and independent way of working, good basic technical knowledge and a high level of commitment and creativity
11. Interest in challenging development tasks
12. Good knowledge of German and English to at least B2 level
Desired Skills:
13. Knowledge of a CAD program (preferably Catia or Creo) and Matlab/Python
14. Proactive and creative approach
15. Basic knowledge of the use of artificial intelligence
