The Cost Accounting Manager Europe is responsible for establishing, maintaining
and continuously improving a transparent and standardized cost accounting
framework across the European regions. The role supports management decision-
making by providing reliable cost information, analyses and management reporting,
and acts as a key finance partner to operational leadership, Finance leadership and
also the commercial organisation.
Key Responsibilities
Establish, develop and maintain internal cost and management reporting in
close cooperation with commercial management
Implement, standardize and maintain costing and calculation schemes for pre-
calculation and post-calculation in collaboration with technical and production
management
Ensure consistent and accurate cost center, cost object and product cost
accounting and standard costs across all European entities
Support operations and the commercial teams during new product launches
by providing target costs for the new products
Actively contribute to the annual budgeting and forecasting process
Perform monthly and annual closing activities related to cost accounting,
including variance and deviation analyses
Prepare profitability, make-or-buy and investment analyses to support
business decisions
Lead and participate in cross-functional projects (e.g. process harmonization,
ERP optimization, introduction of controlling tools)
Serve as a finance business partner for local finance teams and operational
departments on cost-related topics
Your Profile
Completed university degree in Business Administration, Controlling, Cost
Accounting or a comparable qualification, ideally with a focus on Cost
Accounting / Controlling
Relevant professional experience in cost accounting or controlling is an
advantage
Practical experience with integrated ERP systems
Very good command of MS Office applications, especially Excel
Strong analytical skills, structured working style and high numerical affinity
Strong communication and collaboration skills in an international environment
Fluent English skills in speaking and writing; additional European languages
are a plus
