Our client is an internationally successful software company seeking an experienced Controller (m/f/d).
With over 20 offices across Europe and turnover in excess of €100 million, the company is one of the market leaders in its niche. The company is backed by a successful investor who works closely with the management team.
What can you expect:
* The new Controller (m/f/d) will be a key partner in the financial management of the company. You will report directly to the Head of Finance, who is based in Magdeburg, meaning that on-site attendance for one to two days a week is required.
* You will bring together your expertise in planning, forecasting and management reporting to create transparent decision-making frameworks for management and the private equity investor. You will be in direct contact with the CFO.
* In addition, you will work on strategic issues, develop business cases and support M&A transactions, thereby making a significant contribution to the company’s growth.
Responsibilities:
* Overall Management & Controlling Processes: In this role, you will independently design, coordinate and manage company-wide controlling processes and methods, ensuring their consistent application and further development
* Management Consulting & Sparring: As the go-to expert for financial matters, you will advise the CFO and investors, and prepare well-founded recommendations for decisions and actions from a controlling perspective
* Profitability & Business Case Analyses: In the context of investment decisions, product developments and ad hoc enquiries, you will produce robust business assessments, for example regarding economic scenarios, revenue trends and M&A acquisitions
* Business partnering: As a business partner to your assigned departments, you will support monthly departmental reviews, conduct structured business discussions and actively assist in the management and further development of the departments
* IT & transformation projects: In cross-departmental projects, you will contribute your controlling expertise, formulate technical requirements and support the development of a future-oriented IT architecture
Qualifications:
* A successfully completed degree in economics
* Several years’ experience in controlling
* Experience in the software, business services or related sectors
* Fluent German and good English
* You analyse complex issues independently, structure results clearly and present them in such a way that stakeholders can easily understand them and make informed decisions
* You are enthusiastic about innovation, new perspectives and further development, and you actively contribute to optimising processes, management tools and methods
