Your tasks
We are looking for an experienced Senior DevOps Engineer (m/f/d) to strengthen our software engineering team. In this role, you will be responsible for building and managing our deployment pipelines, automating infrastructure and operations, and ensuring the high availability, scalability, and security of our applications. You have a passion for DevOps practices, CI/CD, and cloud architecture, and enjoy problem-solving in a collaborative environment.
In this role, you will work closely with the engineering team to implement and manage the infrastructure that supports our rapid development cycles. You will play a key role in increasing deployment frequency, reducing lead times, and improving the stability of our applications.
* Building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines : Designing, implementing and optimizing CI/CD pipelines to automate software delivery from code to production and to ensure reliable and efficient deployment processes.
* Infrastructure as Code (IaC) : Developing and maintaining automated infrastructure deployment using tools like Terraform. Ensuring the infrastructure is scalable, secure, and compliant with best practices.
* Collaboration with development teams : Work closely with software developers to ensure the seamless integration of new features and changes into production.
* Monitor and optimize system performance : Implement monitoring, logging, and alerting solutions to proactively manage the performance of production systems.
* Cloud Management : Managing and optimizing the cloud-based infrastructure to ensure scalability and cost efficiency. Experience with Azure is an advantage.
* Configuration management : Developing and maintaining configuration management processes to ensure consistency across all environments.
* Incident Management and Troubleshooting : Responding to production problems, resolving errors, and identifying root causes to prevent future occurrences. Implementing automated solutions to reduce manual intervention.
* Security and Compliance : Implementing security best practices across infrastructure, applications, and deployments to ensure compliance with industry standards.
Your profile
* Proven experience : several years of experience in a DevOps, Site Reliability Engineering or similar role.
* Technical expertise : Sound knowledge of CI/CD tools, configuration management tools and Infrastructure-as-Code tools.
* Cloud platforms : Proficiency in at least one major cloud platform (preferably Azure) and experience in managing cloud infrastructures.
* Containerization and Orchestration : Practical experience with Docker and orchestration tools such as Kubernetes.
* Monitoring & Logging : Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools.
* Scripting & Automation : Strong scripting skills in languages such as Bash, Python, or Go, as well as a proven ability to automate workflows and infrastructure tasks. Experience with PowerShell is a plus.
* Security awareness : Understanding of security principles and best practices, especially in cloud environments.
* Problem-solving skills : Ability to troubleshoot complex technical problems and to analyze their causes.
* Soft Skills : Excellent communication and collaboration skills with a strong focus on teamwork and continuous improvement.
* Languages : fluent German and English skills.
