Fund Reporting Specialist (m/f/d)

About the Role
We are seeking an Fund Reporting Specialist/Coordinator to support the Group Leader and the team. This is not a leadership role, but you will play a key part in ensuring quality, accuracy, and timely delivery of tax-related and investment reporting documents.
Your focus will be on quality assurance, document review, and coordination with internal and external stakeholders, particularly tax authorities and clients in the German market.
Key Responsibilities
* Review and quality-check tax-related reporting documents (e.g., tax notes, income statements, individual tax certificates, annexes to tax key figures).
* Support the preparation and dispatch of tax documents to tax authorities and clients (e.g., tax assessment returns, annual reports).
* Handle incoming enquiries from clients and tax authorities; provide clear and accurate information.
* Coordinate with internal departments to ensure timely and correct delivery of all reporting documentation.
* Perform and document quality assurance measures.
* Ensure proper archiving and documentation of tax-related files.
* Support the team with general administrative tasks where needed.
Required Experience & Skills
Professional Background
* Approximately 3–4 years of experience in a similar environment (fund administration, banking, asset management, tax reporting, or investment operations).
* Experience with tax documentation or fund-related processes; deep expertise is not required, but you must understand the logic and purpose behind the documents you are handling.
* Knowledge of German tax concepts (Investmentsteuerrecht is a plus but not mandatory).
Skills & Competencies
* Strong attention to detail and ability to ensure high-quality documentation.
* Proactive working style — able to understand documents, identify issues, escalate appropriately, and act quickly.
* Ability to collaborate with multiple teams and system providers.
* Excellent communication skills and a cooperative, open-minded mindset.
Language Requirements
* Fluent German (written & spoken) — essential for communication with financial authorities.
* Good English — required for internal communication.
Work Environment
* Hybrid work model: during onboarding, expected presence is approx. 3 days on-site / 2 days from home.
