Data Centre Construction | Europe | Site-Based Role
A leading European data centre delivery partner is seeking an experienced Environmental Health & Safety Advisor to join its growing team on a major data centre construction project.
This organisation specialises in turnkey data centre solutions, delivering projects from design through to full construction across civil, structural, architectural, mechanical, electrical and commissioning services.
With multiple large-scale projects currently under construction across Europe — equating to over 400MW of IT load — this is an opportunity to join one of the most established and trusted delivery partners in the sector.
This role is site-based on a major hyperscale data centre project in Europe.
Key Responsibilities
* Support Project Management and Site H&S leadership
* Ensure compliance with company Safety Management Systems and EHS legislation
* Review and approve RAMS, permits to work, and safe systems of work
* Conduct site audits, inspections, and close out corrective actions
* Manage COSHH assessments and hazardous substance controls
* Monitor subcontractor compliance with project EHS standards
* Coordinate site inductions, training, and deliver Toolbox Talks
* Investigate incidents and support timely reporting
* Maintain statutory inspection and safety records
* Promote a proactive, high-standard safety culture on site
Skills & Experience
* Degree-qualified in Health & Safety (or equivalent)
* 3+ years’ experience on large construction projects
* Strong knowledge of EHS legislation
* Experience managing EHS on complex construction sites
* Excellent communication and IT skills
* Self-motivated with the ability to work independently or within a team
