We co-founded and led Viafintech (Barzahlen) to 100+ FTE, one of the most successful German fintechs, active in 17 markets across the EU and USA, and sold it in 2021 for a € three-digit million amount to NYSE-listed Paysafe Group.

Now we’re off to our next venture. This time we’re building a global champion for prepaid products: gift cards (Apple, Amazon, Google), airtime and eCash all in one simple API. Think of finperks as a stripe/adyen for all prepaid products and payments.

We started in summer 2025 and in just a few months we have already onboarded 700+ brands, and our first client goes live by the end of the year.

Many people completely underestimate the market size: about €600bn sold per year today, going to €1.8tn by 2028.

Instead of 5 players in the chain (brand → issuing tech provider → global distributor → local distributor → client), we connect brands directly with clients via the finperks platform. Today 95% of prepaid is still sold in the Global North; we believe that for the gig economy to monetize the Global South, prepaid will be key - from Netflix and Google to Apple and Uber.

We’re a team of 8 in Berlin-Charlottenburg. A mix of our best people from the last journey and brilliant new joiners. High ownership. Low ego. Kind humans. We ship fast, help each other, and celebrate wins.

How I think about work:

It’s not important how much gift card or prepaid knowledge you already have. I will always hire hungriness, ownership, and drive over prior experience.

Your Mission

You’ll help build the largest global platform for gift cards and digital prepaid products.

Your focus is global brand partnerships, working directly with the world’s leading issuers and brands.

What this role is about

You’ll work with companies such as Apple, Google, Amazon, Netflix, Uber, Zalando, Flixbus, PlayStation, Nintendo, and other global brands.

Your responsibility is not exposur. It’s ownership: winning, structuring, and growing long-term partnerships.

Not because of control or distrust, but because speed, learning, and context compound when people work side by side.

You will:

* Sit in the office with me
* Learn on the job, through real decisions and real conversations
* Work closely with our Tech and Client Team

Between us, decisions are made fast including priorities and budgets. You’re empowered to act, not stuck in approval loops.

Who we’re looking for

We’re not looking for a classic account manager with 10+ years in prepaid.

We’re looking for someone who:

* Is highly ambitious and self-driven
* Thinks independently and analytically
* Thrives in fast, entrepreneurial environments
* Takes ownership and responsibility
* Wants to build something global from the inside

In short: someone who wants to help build the next global fintech platform, not just another job.

Languages

* English is required
* German is not required
* Additional European languages (Spanish, Italian, French, Polish etc.) are a strong plus

Requirements

* 6–12 months of relevant work experience in startups, consulting, investment, or fintech
* Proven ability to manage projects independently and take full ownership from planning to execution
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with proficiency in PowerPoint, Excel, and modern tools (e.g., Notion, Pipedrive, Clay, AI tools)
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
* Entrepreneurial mindset with a hands-on mentality and willingness to learn fast
* Passion for entrepreneurship, venture building, and technology
