Senior Technical Manager Projects & Development (m/w/d)

As Senior Technical Manager Projects & Development for France & Francophone Africa you will be responsible for the development and optimization of products and their suitability for use by our customers within the region.
In close cooperation with our R&D department, the main task is to develop innovative solutions and drive forward new product launches or research the application of new technologies, and to make sure these solutions are meeting our clients' needs. A sound knowledge of the use of enzymes in baked goods is essential for this role.
Your tasks
* Product development in collaboration with the Sales, Product Management, Research and Marketing teams
* Conducting experiments, formulating recipes and performing lab-scale trials to optimize product performance
* Work directly with customers to understand their specific application challenges and provide technical support and advice on product selection, use and troubleshooting
* Conduct on-site trials
* Design and conduct application trials or lab tests
* Analyze test data, interpret results and prepare technical reports and derive recommendations for product improvements or modifications
* Project work or, depending on experience level, project management
* Collaboration with the Quality Control teams and Global Quality & Standards
* Collaboration with interdisciplinary teams such as Master Data Management, Global Quality & Standards, Research, Marketing, Sales and Manufacturing
* Planning and conducting training courses and workshops for internal teams, sales staff and customers
* Ongoing exploration of new technologies, ingredients and processing techniques
* Identifying emerging customer needs and deriving new product development opportunities
* Steer and develop and support our local technicians
Your profile
* Completed bakery training and further training as a food technician, degree in food technology or similar
* Professional experience in the above-mentioned area and in product development
* Experienced in the use of enzymes and raw materials as well as in the development of flour treatments and product development
* Experienced in carrying out and preparing raw material and product analyses as well as standard baking tests
* Competent in developing specific solutions with and for our customers
* Enjoy and routine in planning and conducting presentations for various target groups
* Willingness to travel abroad within the Francophone area
* Intercultural competence
* Fluent in French and a very good knowledge of English are mandatory, German and Arabic are advantagious
