We need people who are inspired and motivated to turn these aspirations into reality; to grow and develop with us.As our Head of Deployment & Project Engineering (f/m/x), you will spearhead the strategy, execution, and scaling of Direct Air Capture (DAC) projects globally. This executive role encompasses the leadership of our plant deployment roadmap, guiding project portfolios from concept through commissioning—with a focus on impact, speed, and quality.A pivotal aspect of this role is the ownership and leadership of our flagship DAC-to-eMethanol plant at Chemiepark Marl, a multi-million investment set to commence operations by the end of 2026. This facility is integral not only to Greenlyte's growth, but also to Europes's hydrogen and carbon economy, producing up to 1,000 tons of green eMethanol annually.You will report directly to and work closely with the executive team, collaborating cross-functionally with Engineering, Operations, Business Development, and be responsible for external partners. Your mandate includes defining standards and systems that ensure our deployment efforts align with company milestones, budget constraints, and regulatory requirements.How You'll ContributeManagement of the flagship plantTake full ownership of the DAC-to-eMethanol plant at Chemiepark Marl, overseeing all aspects from engineering, construction to commissioning and operations.Manage external stakeholders (EPC, key supplier, chempark, etc.) enabling plant upscalingEnsure upscaling ability of our DAC systems and be responsible for technical downstream integration of our DAC-plantsPartner & Stakeholder EngagementBuild and maintain strategic relationships with suppliers, contractors, regulatory agencies, and public sector entities.Represent Greenlyte in high-level external engagements, including site selection, permitting, and funding discussions.Advocate for Greenlyte’s deployment strategy in public forums, contributing to our leadership position in climate tech.Strategic & Team LeadershipDefine and execute the roadmap for DAC project development, aligning with Greenlyte’s long-term growth strategy.Drive and manage the key projects holistically, from financing to assembly.Governance frameworks for project delivery, including portfolio management and resource planning.Lead a team of project managersServe as the main voice for deployment projects at GreenlyteYour first 12 months in the role: expectations and deliverablesMonths 0-3Immerse yourself in Greenlyte’s technology, project pipeline, and organizational structure.Assess current governance models and identify priority areas for improvement.Build rapport with internal teams and external stakeholders, particularly those involved with the Chemiepark Marl project.Lead the DAC-2-eMethanol project starting from FEL-1Months 3-6Implement strategic project frameworks across active and upcoming deployments.Lead risk reviews and performance audits on existing initiatives.Establish cadence for reporting, team alignment, and cross-departmental coordination.Drive delivery of the DAC-to-eMethanol plant at Chemiepark Marl, ensuring it remains on schedule and within budget.Months 6-12Expand project team capabilities through hiring, mentorship, and process refinement.Shape the long-term vision of our global deployment playbook.About You 5 to 10+ years of experience in project delivery within industrial, infrastructure, or clean tech sectors, with at least 3 years in a senior leadership role Proven track record managing complex, capital-intensive, and cross-border technical projects Degree in Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related technical or operational field; MBA is a plus Expertise in project governance, risk management, and cost control Strong technical literacy: familiarity with P&IDs, assembly drawings, commissioning practices, and engineering workflows Executive communication skills: comfortable influencing at all levels and leading negotiations with public and private stakeholders Strategic thinker with a hands-on, solution-oriented leadership style Fluent in English; German is a strong plusWhat We Offer30 days vacation plus public holidays to ensure you also have the down time needed to rest and recharge.The possibility to grow and shape your role.Working with founders who understand - and invest time in - the importance of building a healthy and sustainable organization.Open and transparent communication on company development.Noteworthy pointsThis role cannot be done fully remotely.
