We deliver the graphene solution The Role Black Semiconductor GmbH is looking for a Solution Architect – Semiconductor Fab Automation (f/m/d) to define and orchestrate the Factory Integration and Automation strategy for our 300mm Wafer Fabrication plant in Aachen, Germany. In this role, you will lead the design, integration and governance of factory integration components. You will introduce advanced Fab Automation concepts, drive closed-loop integration strategies and contribute to strategic discussions on semiconductor manufacturing efficiency The ideal candidate has extensive semiconductor CIM implementation experience, a deep understanding of 200mm/300mm wafer fab automation, and expertise in SEMI Standards, Real-Time Dispatching, and Advanced Process Control systems We seek a highly analytical and proactive technical leader with exceptional technical expertise, problem-solving skills, and stakeholder management abilities to drive innovation in semiconductor factory automation To join our team, you should be excited to Orchestrate solution architecture for our 300mm Wafer Fabrication plant in Aachen, Germany Define and govern overall Factory Integration components and strategy for the plant Participate in and acquire international standards’ readouts, bringing relevant knowledge into the organization Champion a closed-loop integration of the operational technology solution stack to reduce system complexity while enhancing integration and automation capabilities Introduce new and advanced Fab Automation & Integration concepts and tools Contribute to strategic discussions on Fab Automation & Integration domain topics Mentor and train new engineers to further develop their technical expertise Perform conceptualization, prototyping, pilot testing, and engineering design to achieve proposed implementations Your Qualifications Bachelor’s or a Master’s degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, IT, Mechanical, Mechatronics, or a related technical field 7 years of hands-on experience in CIM implementation within a 200mm or 300mm Wafer Fab, with at least one full system lifecycle implementation completed Proven track record of technical leadership and/or completing multiple CIM project life cycles in areas such as EI, MES, RMS, R2R, FDC, etc. with at least 5 projects in a leadership role within a semiconductor manufacturing environment Ability to comprehend material flow strategies and dynamics in a 200mm or 300mm Wafer Fab Proficiency in industrial CIM software solutions such as Critical Manufacturing, FactoryWorks, SiView, FAB300, Camstar, Promis, AMAT E3, or similar platforms is highly desirable Experience and knowledge of SEMI Standards, including E-004 (SECS-I), E-005 (SECS-II), E-010 (RAM), E-030 (GEM), E-037 (HSMS), E-39 (Object Services), E-40/E-87 (Processing Mgmt.), E-90 (Substrate Tracking), E-94 (Control Job Mgmt.), E-116 (Equipment Performance Tracking), and E-142 (Substrate Mapping) Exposure to SEMI, Sematec, or similar semiconductor standards organizations Familiarity with concepts such as Real-Time Dispatching (RTD), Advanced Planning & Scheduling Knowledge of Master Data Management, Advanced Process Control (FDC, R2R, SPC), or MES applications is an added advantage Strong analytical mindset with a highly inquisitive, logical, and intuitive approach to problem-solving Excellent communication skills in English (both written and verbal), with the ability to engage effectively with stakeholders at all levels A proactive, self-motivated professional with a "can-do" attitude and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively Our work culture People Over Processes.
