Robotics Engineer Internship for Medical Applications
This internship offers the opportunity to work on research and development in robotics for next-generation medical applications. As a highly motivated intern, you will contribute to developing concepts for medical robotics, robot-assisted surgery, and related areas.
About the Role
You will be part of an international project working closely with experts in robotics, sensor signal processing, modeling, and medical technology. Your primary responsibilities will include:
* Developing and testing concepts for medical robotics, robot-assisted surgery, and related areas.
* Working on robotics, sensor signal processing, and fusion, as well as creating models from sensor inputs and machine learning.
* Evaluating concepts both in simulation and on real setups, gaining hands-on experience with robotics in the medical field.
* Conducting experiments in our robotics laboratory.
* P Presenting and discussing research findings in team and department meetings.
Required Skills and Qualifications
To succeed in this role, you will need:
* Bachelor's or Master's degree in computer science, electrical engineering, mechatronics (preferably), biomedical engineering, physics, or comparable fields.
* Basic knowledge in robotics, modeling, and sensor processing.
* Programming knowledge in at least one of the following: Python, ROS, C++.
* Familiarity with optical sensing systems, optical coherence tomography, is a plus.
* Fluent English language skills.
* A hands-on mentality, open mind, excellent problem-solving, communication, and innovation skills.
* Passion for innovation and enthusiasm for innovative technologies, as well as motivation to work in agile, interdisciplinary teams.
