As Manager Global Operational Resilience, you will join our Global Security & Protection Team and drive the topics Business Continuity, Emergency & Crisis Management within BioNTech SE. In this role, you will play a key part in strengthening our company’s preparedness and reactive capabilities for potential business disruptions, while cultivating a culture of operational resilience.
Your responsibilities are:
* Contribute to the implementation and ongoing maintenance of the methodologies for Business Continuity, Emergency, and Crisis Management in collaboration with various stakeholders throughout its lifecycle.
* Enable and support international locations in developing and maintaining Business Continuity & Emergency Response Plans, including conducting Business Impact Analyses, as well as designing and implementing response strategies and measures.
* Support the coordination and oversight of proactive measures and response strategies through simulations and exercises, assisting stakeholders and response teams in being well-prepared to manage emergency and crisis situations effectively.
* Provide support to response teams during critical events, facilitating effective coordination and decision-making. Capture lessons learned from these events and contribute to the ongoing improvement of emergency and crisis management processes.
* Drive and manage global operational resilience topics and projects while fostering cross-departmental collaboration.
* Promote awareness across the organization and stay updated on regulatory developments and industry best practices related to operational resilience.
What you habe to offer:
* At least 2 years of professional work experience in business continuity, disaster recovery, or crisis management, preferably in the pharmaceutical, technology, or consultancy sectors.
* Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Security Management, Business Administration, IT Security, or a related field.
* Knowledge of relevant standards (e.g., ISO 22301, BSI 200-4, ISO 22316, ISO 22361) is preferred.
* Affinity for IT-controlled working methods and solutions.
* Strong analytical skills, a structured and proactive approach to work, combined with effective communication abilities.
* Willingness to travel occasionally, both national and internationally.
* Strong proficiency in spoken and written – German and English
