What you will do
* Design of modulator chips on thin-film lithium niobate for high-speed data transmission, quantum communication, and sensing applications
* Scientific support of FAB personnel in the fabrication of wafers
* Characterization of fabricated chips
* Evaluation of chip performance in system experiments
* Working with international industrial project partners
What you bring to the table
* Completed master's degree in electrical engineering or in a comparable field
* Knowledge of Mach-Zehnder modulator RF simulation and characterization
* Knowledge in the field of high frequency technology
* Knowledge in the field of optics/photonics is advantageous
* Good English and German language skills, both written and spoken

The position is initially limited to 2 years. An extension is explicitly desired.
The weekly working time is 39 hours. This position is also available on a part-time basis.
