We are seeking a SAP Basis Managing Engineer to join our global SAP BASIS team within DHL SAP Centre of Excellence. You bring deep technical knowledge of SAP administration, hands on SAP BASIS operations, and experience running upgrades, migrations, and complex landscapes across On-Premise, Hybrid, and RISE with SAP environments. You will play a key role in ensuring the stability, scalability, performance, and security of global SAP landscapes supporting one of the largest logistics enterprises in the world.
Your Responsibilities
1. BAU SAP Operations
* Perform daily monitoring: system health, logs, work processes, interfaces, business processes.
* Manage transports, batch jobs, system refreshes, housekeeping, and kernel upgrades.
* Tune system parameters and optimize performance.
* Execute SAP Patch Day activities, applying SAP Security Notes, Support Packages, and Hotfix Collections.
* Ensure continuous compliance (SOX, GDPR, ISO, internal audit).
* Conduct vulnerability assessments and remediation planning.
* Database Adminstration /HANA/Oracle/MaxDB
Operating Systems
* Hands-on knowledge across Linux, Windows Server, and UNIX.
* OS troubleshooting, patching, file system and resource management.
ITIL/ITSM
* Execute incident, problem, and change management processes.
2. SAP Upgrades & Migrations
* Lead SAP upgrades, EHP implementations, SPS updates, and kernel changes.
* Perform full lifecycle migrations including OS/DB, HANA migrations, and Unicode conversions.
* Execute system copies and redesign architecture where required.
* Collaborate with application, infra, and cloud teams to ensure smooth cutovers.
* Deliver technical documentation, architecture diagrams, and migration strategies.
3. SAP ALM/BTP/Cloud
* Manage SAP BTP global accounts, subaccounts, entitlements, service provisioning.
* Administer Cloud Foundry, SAP Integration Suite, Workflow Management, and other BTP services.
* Operate and secure Cloud Connector integrations between SAP On Prem and BTP.
* Ensure consistent role, trust, and connectivity configurations aligned with enterprise standards.
* Implement and support SAP Solution Manager and SAP Cloud ALM.
* Support cloud-hosted SAP deployments (RISE with SAP, Azure, AWS).
* Enforce cloud governance, security alignment, and scalability requirements
4. Collaboration, Governance & Leadership
* Partner with functional, development, security, and infrastructure teams.
* Provide expert input for architecture, technology evaluations, and roadmaps.
* Produce SOPs, runbooks, configuration docs, and knowledge articles

Here’s what we are looking for:
* 6–10+ years SAP Basis experience.
* In-depth knowledge of SAP NetWeaver, S/4HANA, HANA, SAP BW and SAP HCM administration.
* Proven experience in upgrades, migrations, SPS updates, refreshes.
* Strong expertise in SAP BTP, SAP Cloud ALM, SAP HCM, SAP ERP, SAP Portal and Solution Manager.
* Experience with cloud-hosted SAP (RISE / Azure / AWS).
* Solid troubleshooting and performance optimization skills.
* Experience delivering in the RISE model and hybrid SAP landscapes.
* Strong understanding of architectural design for SAP cloud/on-prem/hybrid environments.
* Broad DB knowledge (HANA, Oracle, MaxDB).
* OS proficiency: Unix/Linux/Windows.
* Basic ABAP Skills
* Analytical mindset, excellent communication skills, strong English proficiency
