Job Description:
The Senior Business Development Manager will identify and cultivate strategic business relationships to drive revenue growth with clients in the EU. This position supports the expansion of our oligo and peptide development and manufacturing services.
* Source and develop new business opportunities with oligo and peptide companies requiring custom development and manufacturing solutions.
* Represent our services to clients via various communication channels, including email, phone, and web conferencing. Travel to client meetings when feasible.
* Participate in industry events to raise our profile and generate leads.
* Act on and follow up on sales and marketing campaign leads.
* Increase awareness of our marketing initiatives, including scheduling meetings at industry events and promoting registrations for webinars and seminars.
* Stay informed about industry trends, funding, regulatory influences, mergers and acquisitions, licensing, grants, contacts, new drug development, and approvals.
* Develop a professional network of industry-related contacts through LinkedIn and other platforms.
* Propose innovative ideas to enhance performance and drive business growth.
Responsibilities:
This role involves developing and executing strategies to grow the business, maintaining knowledge of industry trends, and building relationships within the industry.
Requirements:
A bachelor's degree in Chemistry or Biochemistry, along with relevant professional training or experience in business, is required. A minimum of 5 years' experience working in oligo or peptide drug development or the CRO/CDMO industry is also necessary.
Skills and Abilities:
Self-motivated, flexible, excellent communication skills, organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple projects and timelines are essential.
