Senior Product & Solutions Manager – Energy Systems
based in
Reutlingen (BW)
to ensure regional product compliance, technical competitiveness, and structured alignment between European market requirements and global development teams.
Position Summary This senior-level individual contributor role is responsible for ensuring that our residential and C&I energy systems are fully compliant, technically competitive, and successfully deployed in the European market. The position acts as the primary technical interface between the European region and global R&D teams, with responsibility for regulatory alignment, localization priorities, and complex solution support.
Key Responsibilities 1. Regulatory Compliance & Certification Ensure compliance with applicable European grid codes and standards (e.g., VDE-AR-N 4105, VDE-AR-N 4110, CE requirements) Coordinate certification processes with internal stakeholders and external testing bodies Monitor regulatory developments (e.g., EnWG, §14a EnWG implementation, dynamic tariffs, smart meter integration) Ensure timely adaptation of firmware and hardware where required 2. Product Localization & Roadmap Coordination Translate regional market requirements into structured product specifications Coordinate with global product and R&D teams to prioritize necessary modifications Provide structured input to regional go-to-market planning Support lifecycle management of localized products 3. Solution Architecture & Technical Support Support Sales and Pre-Sales in the design of residential and C&I storage systems Provide technical guidance for complex projects and key accounts Support resolution of escalated technical cases (Tier-3 level) Contribute to reducing system incompatibility issues through proactive system design 4. Ecosystem & Interoperability Management Ensure compatibility with third-party systems (e.g., EV chargers, heat pumps, smart home controllers) Conduct technical benchmarking against competitors in Europe Support structured feedback loops from service and commissioning teams 5. Internal & External Representation Deliver technical training to sales and service teams Represent the company at technical events, webinars, and customer meetings Provide regular market feedback to global stakeholders
Scope of Responsibility Regional product readiness for European markets Coordination of certification and regulatory priorities Technical interface to global R&D and product teams Senior individual contributor role (no direct personnel management)
Candidate Profile Education Degree in Electrical Engineering, Power Electronics, Energy Systems, or comparable technical discipline Professional Experience Minimum 5 years of experience in PV, inverter, or energy storage industry Experience launching or localizing power electronics products in European markets Strong understanding of German renewable energy regulatory framework (e.g., EEG, EnWG) Technical Competencies Solid knowledge of grid integration and system architecture Experience with energy management systems and system interoperability Structured and documentation-oriented working style Languages German (native or near-native level) English (business fluent) Mandarin is an advantage but not required
