We are looking for a Tech Consultant M365 (tenant) (m/f/d). Unlimited, fulltime flexible working conditions available. Join our team at our location in Berlin, Baden-Baden, Verl, Germany or Tallinn, Estonia.
Role Purpose
* Hands-on M365 administration and cross-service governance within defined guardrails across Exchange, SharePoint, OneDrive, and Teams.
* Execute and evolve approved tenant-wide guardrails and cross-service configurations that balance security, compliance, and usability.
* Administer Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, OneDrive, and Teams; provide expert consulting to product teams and the Adoption Consultant.
* Contribute to change readiness and lifecycle alignment across services (no L1/L2 end-user support).
Key Responsibilities
* Administer EXO/SPO/OneDrive/Teams in line with approved standards, baselines, and templates.
* Apply and maintain tenant/service policies and role models; propose improvements and draft change requests.
* Operate Exchange Online org settings, mail flow and hygiene (Defender for O365); troubleshoot routing within scope.
* Configure SPO/OneDrive sharing, retention, and information architecture patterns; manage site templates and lifecycle rules.
* Maintain Teams policies, templates, and app permissions; support lifecycle governance for teams.
* Review Message Center changes; prepare readiness inputs and test notes; coordinate with the E3 and Adoption Consultant.
* Produce and update authoritative admin guides, FAQs, and runbooks; keep changes version-controlled.
* Monitor service health/usage signals; raise risks and collect evidence for compliance controls.
Recommended Qualifications
* Solid administration experience across M365 workloads (EXO/SPO/OneDrive/Teams) in an enterprise tenant.
* Working knowledge of Entra ID and Purview controls relevant to M365 governance.
* Proficiency with EXO/SPO/Teams PowerShell; basic Microsoft Graph usage; ability to automate repeatable tasks.
* Understanding of Exchange mail flow and Defender for O365 hygiene policies.
* Familiarity with lifecycle/change management; can interpret Message Center items and contribute to readiness plans.
* Clear, concise documentation and version-control discipline.
* Consulting-oriented communication (expert guidance; not end-user support).
* Collaborative mindset with Security, Cloud Governance, and the Adoption Consultant; proactive escalation and risk awareness.
* Analytical troubleshooting and data-driven improvement orientation.
* Responsible and patient, with the ability to undertake routine tasks accurately.
* Open-minded and comfortable working within a multicultural team environment.
* Ability to embrace change and innovation, contributing to a dynamic work environment.
* Ability to travel internationally.
