Job Description
The Sales Manager role is a critical position responsible for driving sales growth and achieving key performance indicators (KPIs) within an assigned region. The ideal candidate will be able to develop new business opportunities, secure orders, and negotiate contracts while ensuring customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
1. Drive sales growth and achieve KPIs (revenue, gross margin, share of wallet) within your assigned region
2. Develop new business opportunities and secure orders, including adjacent industries
3. Negotiate annual contracts, pricing, and forecasts in close alignment with internal stakeholders
4. Act as the primary contact for customers, ensuring satisfaction and handling complaints professionally
5. Monitor market trends and competitors, sharing insights to support strategic decisions
About You
* Educational Background & Experience: A Master's degree in Optics, Electronics, Physics, or a related Engineering discipline combined with at least 5 years of proven success in technical sales within an industrial environment
* Technical Expertise: Strong understanding of electronics, optical materials, and components with the ability to translate technical specifications into customer solutions
* Sales & Negotiation Skills: Demonstrated ability to develop strategies, negotiate contracts, and close deals with high-value customers
* Communication & Interpersonal Competence: Fluent in English and skilled in building trustful relationships across functions and cultures within a matrix organization
* Strategic & Analytical Mindset: Comfortable with market analysis, forecasting, and identifying new business opportunities; willingness to travel internationally as required
