REGIONAL EHS MANAGER (M/F/D)

YOUR TASKS
1. Governance of adherence to legal EHS regulations while taking into consideration economic aspects (protection of the locations)
2. Exchange of expert knowledge, best practices and lessons learned within the region. Link between global and local EHS organization
3. Regular communication, cooperation, and coordination of all activities in EHS with internal as well as external customers, authorities etc. to ensure target achievement
4. Specification of strategic orientation of EHS for the region, taking into consideration the CAPEX and OPEX planning as well as optimum utilization of the available human-resources capacities and qualifications of the local EHS employees
5. Implementing and testing new EHS processes and projects, initiatives and tools, operational regulations, and programs
6. Advise and support of locations in EHS related monitoring and acceptance of operational processes, plant facilities, works equipment, technical equipment, working methods, working materials and workplaces
7. Supporting locations in terms of accidents analysis and definition of countermeasures, Organization of a professional processing of accidents, including the necessary evaluations and accident statistics
YOUR QUALIFICATIONS
8. University or college degree in one of the following fields: EHS (e.g., Sicherheitstechnik, Umweltingenieurwesen), Engineering (e.g., mechanical, electrical) or Natural sciences (e.g., Chemistry, Physics)
9. Additional training as specialist for occupational safety (German certificate “Sicherheitsfachkraft”)
10. 5 - 7 years job experience in an EHS related job
11. Experience in an international environment is an advantage
12. Analytical skills and precise way of working
13. High sense of responsibility and intercultural competence
14. Creativity, dynamism and a structured and independent way of working
15. Willingness to travel
16. Fluent in German and English
