For a project we are looking for a Test Automation Engineer (FPGA - VHDL) (f/m/d).
Aufgaben
* Implement automated test suites for FPGA designs using VHDL, covering both functional and performance testing
* Integrate the automated tests into our CI/CD pipeline, leveraging tools like GitHub Actions or GitLab CI/CD
* Develop test harnesses and frameworks to enable efficient and scalable FPGA testing using VHDL and VUnit
* Collaborate with FPGA designers and developers to understand requirements and implement test automation solutions
* Design, build, and configure complex test racks with FPGA hardware and supporting equipment
* Implement the use of simulation tools like Modelsim and Questasim for FPGA verification with VHDL
* Work with FPGA vendor tools such as Altera Quartus, Xilinx Vivado, and Lattice Diamond to ensure seamless integration
* Analyze test results, identify and troubleshoot issues, and provide recommendations for process improvements
* Document test strategies, procedures, and results to ensure traceability and maintainability
Qualifikation
* Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field
* Extensive experience in implementing test automation, particularly in the FPGA or hardware design domain using VHDL
* Demonstrated ability to design, build, and configure complex test racks for FPGA and System hardware
* Strong expertise in FPGA design and verification methodologies
* Familiarity with some of the tools listed in the above responsabilities
* Proficiency in scripting and programming languages like Python, bash, (yaml, C optional) and VHDL
* Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
* Ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional team
* Strong communication and documentation skills
* Language skills: German fluent; English fluent // One of both at least
