Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced technical professional to join our Data Center Engineering Operations Team. As a Data Center Engineering Operations Technician, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining all electrical, mechanical, and fire/life safety equipment within the data center.
The ideal candidate will have received technical training and/or have similar experience in a related field, with several years of relevant work experience, ideally within Data Center operations.
As a key member of our team, you will serve as a technical resource to support Amazon within its owned and operated data centers, driving innovation while reducing operational costs in the facilities.
Key Responsibilities:
* Assist in the operation and maintenance of all electrical, mechanical, and HVAC equipment within the Data Center/Facility.
* Maintain and monitor all Data Center systems, including incidents/events, problems, changes, monitoring, problem escalation/notification/resolution, and other aspects of Data Center support.
* Monitor and troubleshoot all mechanical, electrical, HVAC systems, voice/data, chiller systems, and generators.
* Provide assistance to contractors or data center engineers to ensure proper operation and maintenance of all facility equipment covered under level I plus areas.
* Deploy new equipment, such as building racks, cabling, and other tasks as necessary.
* Respond to internal Rack customer maintenance, repair, and additions/expansion requests through the ticketing system.
* Perform site walkthroughs to verify proper operation of Facility Equipment and Monitoring Systems.
* Maintain changes in state in Mission Critical infrastructure in support of corrective/preventive maintenance.
* Review Test quality, performance, safety, and reliability of products, equipment, processes.

Requirements:
* You have received a technical (Military/Trade School) training and/or have similar experience in that field.
* Electrical qualification(s) are necessary to operate Low Voltage equipment in accordance with applicable German regulations (Elektrofachkraft).
* Several years of relevant work experience, ideally within Data Center operations.
