Finance manager europe / head of finance (m/f/x)

Location: Germany – Hybrid / Remote

We are seeking an experienced Finance Manager Europe to lead our European finance operations and play a key role in shaping our financial strategy and processes.

You will manage and develop the European finance team, collaborate with global stakeholders, and ensure compliance with local and international accounting standards.

The German European entity acts like the holding company for the group on financing, shareholder and cash matters.


Tasks

* Partner cross-functionally with local and global teams to align financial processes and improve efficiency
* Lead process optimization and automation initiatives within the finance function
* Lead, mentor, and develop the European finance team
* Leading projects in the finance field incl tax planning and compliance
* Cash forecast for the group globally
* Full responsibility for monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with HGB (in-house) and IFRS (managed via external partner)
* Manage the ongoing partnership and performance of the outsourced Shared Service Center (SSC) in Asia
* Oversee the audit process, collaborating closely with auditors and tax advisors to ensure full compliance with statutory and international tax requirements
* Drive the implementation and integration of LucaNet for consolidation and reporting
* Ensure accurate group consolidation across all international entities (Germany, UK, Australia, and the Philippines)


Requirements

* Degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field; CPA/ACCA or comparable qualification is a plus
* Experienced in FP&A
* Self starter, hands-on person who wants to make an impact
* Experience in finance process improvement, digitalization, and automation
* Excellent communication skills in English and German (business fluent)
* Ability to direct the group accounting and consolidation team, ideally in an international environment
* Month-end closing and financial reporting skills
* Practical experience in audit management and preparation of statutory financial statements (HGB; IFRS exposure is an advantage)
* Sound knowledge of SAP (FI, SD, MM)
* Willingness to travel to Hamburg approximately once per month (travel expenses covered)
