What you will work on At FERNRIDE, the Engineering and Verification Ecosystems (EVE) Backplane team is the central hub connecting container terminal systems with FERNRIDE's self- and tele-driving technology. We design and operate the scalable backend services and data pipelines that enable seamless interaction between the customers' infrastructure and FERNRIDE’s fleet. As part of EVE Backplane, you will work with Python, Java, Typescript, Docker, Kubernetes, cloud (Azure/AWS), and including occasional C++ to design and operate distributed backend services that power our logistics automation. You will take on customer facing challenges, shape system architecture, and ensure the scalability, security, and performance of mission-critical services across terminals, the cloud, and our vehicles. How you will leave your footprint Design, build, and operate scalable backend services that connect container terminal operations with FERNRIDE's autonomous driving stack. Solve complex customer-facing problems by creating secure, reliable, and maintainable system architectures. Work across a diverse environment, cloud platforms, trucks, operator workstations, and everything in between, delivering end-to-end solutions. Contribute to our distributed service ecosystem used by internal teams, operations, and customers. Drive technical initiatives to improve system scalability, reliability, and maintainability. What you will bring to the team Extensive software development and testing expertise, with a track record of building robust distributed backend systems. Demonstrated ability to design, implement, and operate complex backend systems using modern programming languages and container orchestration technologies, including Docker and Kubernetes. Experience in building and scaling cloud-native services on Azure, AWS, or GCP. Solid understanding of Linux internals, networking concepts (TCP/UDP/IP), and cloud network design. Excellent communication and mentoring skills in a diverse and distributed team. A drive to deliver customer-focused solutions that translate into measurable operational value.
