Beschreibung

Your mission Under the “Futures of (I)CSOs” initiative, the International Civil Society Centre (hereafter the Centre) supports (I)CSOs in implementing the transformational changes needed within their organisations to become more agile, respond to emerging realities and carve future-fit roles for themselves. This includes our continuing work on power shift and fostering inclusive and diverse governance models and supporting transformational journeys toward localisation. As part of the initiative, the Centre hosts the Scanning the Horizon community, the only collaborative trend scouting and analysis platform in the civil society sector. The community convenes futurists, strategists, trend analysts and organisational learning and research specialists form a cross-sector community of experts and practitioners which share insights, explore key trends and develop relevant strategies. As part of our Futures of (I)CSOs work, the Centre will produce a detailed guide which provides high-level insights into localisation models through trend and signal scanning and mapping. The aim of the research is to enable cross-sector learning from approaches to localisation and foster capacity building of trend scanning methodologies among organisations. Through trends mapping and analysis, organisations can enhance long-term strategic development and identify opportunities for transformation. Building on desk-based research and insights and intelligence from the Centre’s community, the guide will illustrate trends and signals from ICSOs, local organisations and funders and uncover shifts connected to localisation and power shift. The research will be launched through an interactive online event, thus integrating documentation with discussion and participation. The Centre is looking for a consultant or team of consultants to support the conceptualisation and production of the guide. As part of this work, the consultant will be tasked with drafting a concept note for the guide, conducting research on trends and signals and gathering insights from the Centre’s Scanning the Horizon community. For the full description, please refer to the Terms of Reference.
