As S enior Expert Data Architecture & Engineering, you will be responsible for designing and optimizing cloud-based data platforms and end-to-end pipelines, enabling advanced analytics, personalized experiences, and monetizable data products for future E-Commerce success. Your Responsibilities: Define and implement a scalable data cloud architecture and pipeline landscape as robust backbone for Consumer Data Analytics and automated, real-time actions Gather and orchestrate data on purchase behavior, product & service usage, garden & planting, and climate & soil conditions to enable standardized reporting, (advanced) analytics, personalized experiences, and monetizable data products Maintain and continuously optimize the existing Market Intelligence data platform based on external & internal data sources, delivering best possible performance Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to align data solutions with business needs while ensuring adherence to governance, privacy, and architectural standards Own the development & enhancement roadmap, prioritize features, and drive ongoing delivery through effective project and stakeholder management Establish and maintain clear documentation of data processes, pipelines, and architectural decisions – focusing on high‑quality, scalable, and maintainable code Gradually build, lead, and empower a high-performing team of Data and AI/ML Engineers as the organization grows Your Profile: 5 years professional experience in data engineering or adjacent fields – preferably with a degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Artificial Intelligence, or related Proven track record in implementing, orchestrating & maintaining cloud based end-to-end data pipelines (Azure/AWS), utilizing tools such as Azure Data Factory or dbt Advanced proficiency in SQL, Python, DevOps, CI/CD (Azure DevOps), and deep knowledge of data modeling & automation in platforms such as Databricks, Snowflake Strong understanding of multiple data domains (e.g., financial, consumer, marketing, IoT), including their data structures, interdependencies, and business relevance Initial leadership experience with a strong sense of ownership, decision-making skills, and the ability to balance business priorities with operational delivery Excellent presentation and communication skills with the ability to translate complex technical concepts and issues into accessible business language Collaborative mindset with very good written and spoken English skills (German language skills are an additional advantage) Our promise to you Become part of a team that is passionate about its work, proud of its history, and curious about the future.
