Automation Engineer - VIE Contract
1. Location: Germany, Frankfurt
2. Target start date: 01/12/2025
iMove, the Sanofi VIE Program, is available to citizens of the European Economic Area (EU + Norway, Liechtenstein and Iceland) aged between 18 and 28.
PLEASE NOTE that since this program is primarily an international development program, candidates cannot apply to a VIE assignment in their own country of citizenship.

About Sanofi
Main responsibilities:
3. Assist in the coordination and technical review of automation designs from international vendors and engineering partners.
4. Support automation architecture planning, including Distributed Control System/ Building Management System/ Energy Management System (DCS/BMS/EMS) and utilities automation.
5. Help align automation design with Sanofi global standards and local regulatory requirements.
6. Participate in digitalization initiatives and data integration concepts.
7. Interface with global automation colleagues and contribute to harmonized design packages.
8. Assist in preparation for design reviews, Factory Acceptance Test (FATs), and construction-related support.
9. Strongly collaborate with our internal and external engineering partners.
About you
Experience:
10. Interest or first experience in global project work and multicultural collaboration.
11. Knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP), ISA-88, or ISA-95 is a plus.
Soft and Technical skills:
12. Understanding of automation systems used in pharma/biotech manufacturing.
13. Problem-solving mindset.
14. Willingness to adapt to new cultural environments.
15. Open to relocation and excited to experience life and work in Germany.
Education:
16. Master’s degree in Automation, Process Control, or related engineering field.
Languages:
17. Fluent English (written and verbal).
18. German would be a plus.
